The 2014 Chablis 1Er Cru Fourchaume has a Zen-like, clean and fresh, slate-scented bouquet that draws you in. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a lovely saline undertow, subtle at first and then flourishing toward the bravura finish with copious citrus fruit and plenty of spice. There is a lot going on in this Chablis and it should age with style.

2014 Chablis 1er Cru (Chardonnay)

La Chablisienne's 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume is a Chardonnay from the Chablis AOC in Burgundy. The shiny, clear, pale hued Chablis exudes white fruits notes with hints of vanilla. The swirl reveals more intense and complex aromas, fresh, elegant, as well as a light mineral reduction to tie it all up. The palate is fresh, elegant, and vigorous: great volume, lovely white fruits persistence and delicate vibrant mineral, pure, superb balance. The finish is fresh, suggesting great ageing potential.
