A fresh and persistent white Grand Cru from Burgundy
The estate
Created in 1797 by Jean Latour in Aloxe-Corton, the Louis Latour estate has remained an independent family-run house for over two centuries in Burgundy. Owner of the largest Grand Cru estate in the Côte d’Or, the Latour family cultivates prestigious parcels on the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. Unique in its combination of viticulture and family cooperage, Louis Latour stands out for its traditional vision coupled with a modern approach.
The vineyard
The "Les Demoiselles" parcel extends across the heart of the Chevalier-Montrachet appellation, in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. The vines, averaging 40 years old, thrive on clay and chalk soils. Vineyard management favors controlled yields of 35 hl/ha and manual harvesting.
Winemaking and aging
Traditional barrel fermentation with full malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place for 8 to 10 months in 100% new French oak barrels with medium toast, crafted by the Louis Latour cooperage.
Grape variety
This grand cru is made exclusively from Chardonnay.
