The estate

Founded in 1797, the house Louis Latour is today represented by the 11th generation, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour. A négociant-éleveur, Maison Louis Latour owns the largest Grand Cru estate in Burgundy.

The vineyard

With a 10.5-hectare vineyard, the Louis Latour family is the largest owner of this Grand Cru. At the end of the 19th century, the Latour family decided to uproot the aligoté and pinot noir vines on this terroir devastated by Phylloxera in order to replace them with chardonnay. The Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2020 from Louis Latour is crafted from an exceptional terroir benefiting from a southeast exposure and abundant sunshine. This great Corton-Charlemagne wine is renowned for its balance and aromatic richness.

Vinification and aging

Once the hand harvest is completed, fermentation is carried out traditionally in oak barrels with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging for 8 to 10 months is done in French oak barrels (100% new) from the Louis Latour cooperage.

Grape variety

Chardonnay (100%).
