A rich and ample white Burgundy Grand Cru
The Estate
Founded in 1797, the Louis Latour House is now represented by the 11th generation, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour. As a négociant-éleveur, Louis Latour owns the largest Grand Cru estate in Burgundy.
The Vineyard
With a 10.5-hectare vineyard, the Louis Latour family is the largest owner of this Grand Cru. At the end of the 19th century, the Latour family decided to uproot the aligoté and pinot noir vines devastated by phylloxera on this terroir and replace them with chardonnay. The Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2020 is crafted from an exceptional terroir with south-east exposure and significant sunshine. This great Corton-Charlemagne wine is renowned for its balance and aromatic richness.
Winemaking and Aging
Once the manual harvest is completed, fermentation is carried out traditionally in oak barrels with 100% malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels (100% new) from the Louis Latour cooperage.
Blend
Chardonnay (100%).
