Tasting

Color
Beautiful dark ruby tint with deep reflections.

Nose
The bouquet reveals intense aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant, enhanced by subtle mocha notes that add a toasty dimension to the whole.

Palate
The palate is silky and fresh, revealing nutmeg and cherry flavors, accented by peppery hints. The pronounced tannic structure lends the wine an excellent balance and depth.

Food and wine pairings

This Morey-Saint-Denis Village pairs perfectly with game meats, red meat dishes, and well-aged hard cheeses.

Service and aging

It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature between 15 and 16°C. Drinkable now, it will continue to evolve favorably until around 2029.

An authentic Morey-Saint-Denis from the Burgundian estate Louis Latour

The estate

Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Burgundy, this family-owned house has perpetuated a traditional know-how for over two centuries. Based in Beaune, it cultivates about 50 hectares of prestigious vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, including Grands Crus. A former supplier to European courts, Louis Latour combines Burgundian tradition with international renown thanks to its ancestral cooperage and the Château Corton Grancey.

The vineyard

The vines of this Morey-Saint-Denis are planted on chalk and limestone soils, characteristic of this appellation located south of Gevrey-Chambertin. They benefit from controlled yields to preserve the quality and concentration of the grapes. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand to preserve the integrity of the pinot noir berries.

Winemaking and aging

Winemaking follows a traditional open vat approach, complemented by full malolactic fermentation. Aging takes place over 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage, with 20% new medium-toast wood, allowing a harmonious integration of oaky aromas.

Grape variety

This wine is made exclusively from pinot noir, the emblematic grape variety of the Côte de Nuits.
