A little closed at the time of tasting, showing pear, honeysuckle and apricot fruit. Full-bodied, very powerful and rich, with intense salinity and moderate but refreshing acidity. Great power, this has that firm, serious, bold demeanour of Le Méal, and serious length. A great white Hermitage that will age superbly.

The 2023 Ermitage Blanc Le Méal captivates with enchanting linden blossom, yellow apple and jasmine, underscored by flinty layers and delicate tangerine flesh. The 2023 is medium- to full-bodied on the palate with remarkable clarity and freshness, seamlessly blending power and finesse. The finish is multifaceted and defined, resonating with pristine notes of honeysuckle and pear, leaving a lasting impression. Give it at least two more years in bottle.

Orange blossom, stone fruits, crushed stone, and white currant notes all emerge from the 2023 Ermitage Le Méal Blanc. Medium to full-bodied, fresh, and focused, with good density and concentration, this shows the style of the estate these days. Made from 100% Marsanne and aged in 85% demi-muids and foudre (10% new) with 15% in stainless steel for 12 months, drink 2025-2040.
