Inky ruby. Ripe blackberry and kirsch aromas, with a suave graphite undertone. Soft dark fruit flavors are supported by supple tannins, which don't get in the way of the wine's impressive finishing sweetness. This is delicious now.

A lean, straight wine without roundness, yet structured and fairly deep, with genuine length on stone fruits.

In effect the second wine of Jaboulet's flagship La Chapelle, this is a lightweight version of Hermitage, with creamy red berry flavors that turn crisp and cranberryish on the finish. Drink now–2015.
