Alfred Giraud, the excellence of French whisky

Alfred Giraud has embodied the excellence of French whisky since its founding in 2011 by Philippe Giraud and his father Jean-Pierre, heirs of a dynasty of master coopers and cellar masters since 1910. Produced in Charente-Maritime, this revolutionary French whisky applies traditional Cognac techniques to malt whisky, notably aging in former cognac casks. Philippe Giraud, the current owner, leads this house, positioning it as the first French luxury whisky, combining century-old artisanal know-how and innovation in the Blend.

Harmonie, the magnificence of the Blend

The creation of "Harmonie" begins with a sophisticated Blend of two unpeated French malt distillates from three types of exceptional casks: a majority that held very old cognacs, new French oak casks from Limousin and new American oak casks.

The Blend is then aged exclusively in casks that held very old cognacs, then married with a slightly peated distillate before being barreled again in the same cognac casks until the perfect aromatic balance is achieved. Bottled at 46.1% and non-chill filtered, the Harmonie is presented in an elegant case, reflecting its premium positioning on the French whisky market.
