Alfred Giraud: Excellence in French Whisky

Founded in 2012 by Philippe Giraud, the fifth generation of a family of cellar masters from Charente, Alfred Giraud embodies the excellence of French whisky. As heir to a century-old know-how in Cognac, the House transfers its expertise in blending and aging to single malt whisky. Owned by Philippe Giraud in collaboration with his family, production takes place in Charente using Cognac and Limousin oak casks. This unique approach, combining French tradition with innovation, distinguishes Alfred Giraud through its artisanal methods and its luxury positioning in the French spirits market.

Horizon: the First Single Malt by Alfred Giraud

"Horizon" represents the first single malt from Alfred Giraud, produced with uncompromising quality from grain to glass. This sophisticated blend uses two distillates matured in new Cognac and French and American oak casks, forming its aromatic base. To this is added a selection of whiskies aged in high-quality casks, including old cognacs, Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux casks, and pineau. In total, fourteen different cask types enhance this complex blend, distributed across 17 casks.

This unique production method, inherited from Cognac know-how, gives this French whisky its fresh and complex character, typical of the elegance and balance sought by Alfred Giraud.
