An exceptionally rich Speyside Scotch whisky
GlenAllachie, a Speyside distillery transformed by Billy Walker
Founded in 1967 in Speyside by Mackinlay McPherson Ltd, GlenAllachie has undergone a remarkable transformation since its acquisition in 2017 by Billy Walker, the current owner and legendary Master Distiller. Under his leadership, this Aberlour distillery champions a groundbreaking approach with 160-hour fermentation and a deliberately reduced output of one million liters per year. GlenAllachie develops its signature “heather honey” style through carefully managed maturation across 50,000 casks, earning the title of “World's Best Single Malt” at the World Whiskies Awards 2025.
GlenAllachie 18 Year Old, the expression of mastery over time
GlenAllachie 18 Year Old represents the culmination of 18 long years of maturation in the finest oak casks. Drawing on more than 40 years of experience as a blender, Billy Walker personally selects a limited number of casks from the distillery’s 16 warehouses, which hold precious stocks dating back to the 1970s. This expression uses Scottish barley and benefits from an exceptionally long 160-hour fermentation followed by slow distillation. The maturation process combines American oak, sherry, and virgin oak casks, allowing the whisky to develop its unique aromatic complexity. Bottled at 46% without chill filtration or added coloring, this single malt fully expresses its authentic character and rich, robust personality.
