Description
The concentration and fruitiness of a Scottish whisky by Michel Couvreur
Michel Couvreur, the visionary
Born in Belgium in 1928, Michel Couvreur began his career as a Burgundy wine merchant before becoming an independent whisky bottler. Renowned for his unique maturation approach, he stands out for the art of aging Scottish distillates in Sherry and Port casks in his Burgundian cellars, which offer ideal conditions for maturation. Recognized for their complexity, these whiskies are produced in limited quantities and are highly sought after by connoisseurs.
Following his passing in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen, supported by Marthe, Michel’s wife, and their daughter Alexandra, have perpetuated the philosophy of excellence and the pioneering vision of this illustrious Maison.
An ephemeral, aromatic and silky cuvée
Produced in only 950 bottles, this Scottish whisky aged 16 Years Old is matured in vintage Port casks.
