A rich and expressive Islay Scotch single malt whisky

Octomore: the global benchmark for peated whisky

Created in 2002 by Jim McEwan and Mark Reynier at the Bruichladdich distillery, Octomore is a revolutionary Islay Scotch whisky holding the title of the world’s most peated whisky. Its name comes from a historic farm on Islay that housed a distillery from 1816 to 1852. Currently owned by Rémy Cointreau, Octomore stands out for its extreme phenolic levels reaching up to 258 ppm and its unique numbering system (.1, .2, .3, .4) indicating the specific maturation and barley origin.

Octomore 14.2: an exceptional limited edition

This very limited edition is distinguished by the meticulous selection of master distiller Adam Hannett, who chose from over 200 different cask types to achieve optimal balance. The major uniqueness lies in the unique combination of casks that previously held Oloroso (Spanish wine region) and Amarone (Italian wine region). This approach gives this whisky remarkable depth and complexity thanks to the final blend in French oak.
