The Roger Groult House, a Family Tradition from the Pays d'Auge

Established in the Pays d'Auge in France, the Roger Groult house carries on a family tradition of producing exceptional calvados. Based at the Clos de la Hurvanière, the estate has 27 hectares of orchards and more than 350 French red oak casks used for aging. The distillery practices double distillation over a wood fire, a traditional method that gives its eaux-de-vie a distinctive aromatic signature. Since March 2022, Estelle Groult has presided over the house's destiny as Chair and Chief Executive Officer, supported by Charlotte Groult as Deputy Managing Director, while Jean-Roger Groult remains a board member. This family succession ensures the continuity of an ancestral know-how recognized worldwide.

An Exceptional Calvados by Roger Groult

Crafted from cider apples grown in the Pays d'Auge, this Calvados 12 Years Old benefits from double distillation over a wood fire, a traditional method that defines the house's identity. The eau-de-vie is then aged in old French red oak casks, within a collection of more than 350 casks ranging in capacity from 110 to 13,000 liters. This 12-year aging process gives this calvados a perfect balance between the fruity vibrancy of young eaux-de-vie and the aromatic complexity of old blends.
