Located near Mount Chokai, it uses pure waters from the local stream to produce premium Japanese whiskies. Owned by local master distillers who prioritize quality over quantity, Yuza stands out for its traditional maturation in bourbon casks, although some special editions explore sherry casks. This Yuza Single Malt is part of the prestigious Magazine IB Japanese Craft Collection, the result of a collaboration between Hua Yang and Whisky Magazine in 2022. This exclusive series showcases Japanese craftsmanship with independent bottlings from craft distilleries, including a Chichibu 7-year-old, a Yuza 7-year-old and a Sakuro 3-year-old. Unlike Yuza's usual practice of favoring bourbon casks, this special edition benefited from maturation in sherry casks, giving this Japanese whisky its unique character.
