The Aromatic Richness of a Great Tuscan Wine
The Estate
The story began in 1984, when a couple of wine enthusiasts bought a property originally intended as a home close to nature, which soon became a wine estate. Tua Rita was born. Over the years, as Tua Rita's wines gained recognition, the estate grew from two hectares to nine, then twenty, and now covers some thirty hectares. Tua Rita has since become a benchmark for the wines of Tuscany, one of the leading wine regions of Italy.
The Vineyard
The Tua Rita estate spans nearly 30 hectares in the Alta Maremma (IGT) wine area, in the Val di Cornia, ideally situated between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Colline Metallifere of Tuscany.
The Wine
Produced since 1994, Tua Rita's Redigaffi comes from vines planted on a mineral-rich terroir that imparts a rich aromatic palette combined with a delicious salinity.
Vinification and Ageing
The grapes are hand-harvested into 15 kg crates. The wine is aged for 18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels. After bottling, it undergoes several further months of ageing before release.
Blend
Tua Rita's Redigaffi 2017 is made from 100% Merlot.
