Tua Rita crafts a great Tuscan wine
The estate
The story began in 1984, when a couple of wine enthusiasts bought a property originally intended as a home close to nature, which quickly became a wine estate. Tua Rita was born. Over the years, as Tua Rita's wines gained recognition, the estate grew from two hectares to nine, then to twenty, and today covers some thirty hectares. Tua Rita has now become an essential benchmark for wines from Tuscany, a major wine region in Italy.
The vineyard
The Tua Rita estate covers nearly 30 hectares in the Upper Maremma (IGT) wine-growing area, in the Val di Cornia, ideally located between the Tyrrhenian Sea and Tuscany's Colline Metallifere.
The wine
Produced since 1994, Tua Rita's Redigaffi comes from a vineyard planted on a terroir whose mineral content imparts a rich aromatic palette combined with a savoury salinity.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand into 15 kg crates. The wine is aged for 18 to 20 months in new French oak barrels. After bottling, it undergoes several further months of ageing before release.

Tua Rita's Redigaffi 2018 is 100% Merlot.
