The 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros is one of the richer, more gourmand wines in the range, revealing aromas of peach, orange, white flowers and freshly baked bread. Full-bodied, fleshy and ample, it's a broad, mouth-filling Chablis with bright acids and a precise, saline finish. This has turned out especially well.

Fevre's Bougros covers around 50% of the whole Bougros climat. With its westerly location in the grand cru, Bougros is often a warmer site and one can taste the sweetness of the fruit here, beautifully balanced by 2021's acidity. Although not the weightiest, showiest or most concentrated grand cru, there is lots to like, with notes of grapefruit, a touch of citrus zest and excellent acidity. With good volume in the mouth, this finishes very fresh.

Cask sample. Lots of lovely, fine fruit and a strong wet-stones character. Already relatively accessible, but all that acidity (and fruit) should keep it going for a nice long time. (JR)

Rich and bordering on creamy in texture, featuring peach, apple tart and yellow plum flavors. Focused by lively acidity, with citrus and floral notes on the finish, this version really narrows down to a focal point. Drink now through 2030. 100 cases imported.
