An elegant and refreshing Provence rosé by Château Saint-Maur
The estate
Acquired in 2011 by Roger Zannier, Château Saint-Maur is a historic Provence estate whose winemaking origins date back to Antiquity. Classified as a Cru Classé since 1955, this 100-hectare property located in Cogolin, between the Maures massif and the Mediterranean, has undergone a complete vineyard restructuring along with the construction of an ultra-modern winery in 2013. Managed by Marc Monrose, the estate has been engaged since 2021 in a conversion to organic farming, set to be completed in 2028.
The vineyard
Saint M 2025 comes from great terroirs of the Côtes de Provence appellation, carefully selected by the Château Saint-Maur winemaking team. The vines thrive on clay-limestone soils rich in schist and quartz, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate tempered by sea breezes that preserve the freshness of the grapes.
Winemaking and aging
The grapes for Saint M 2025 are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo direct pressing under inert conditions. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel truncated cone tanks, with pump-overs and punch-downs, preserving the aromatic purity and freshness characteristic of this Provence wine.
Grape varieties
Cinsault and Syrah.
