The aromatic bouquet opens with a beautiful freshness dominated by red fruit aromas such as cherry and redcurrant. Delicate touches of sweet spices and subtle woody notes add complexity to the whole.
Palate
The attack is ample and supple, offering a silky texture of great elegance. The harmonious structure of this wine extends to a finish marked by a beautiful mineral tension.
Food and wine pairings
This red wine will pair wonderfully with roasted poultry with herbs, such as chicken with thyme or pigeon. It will also enhance duck with fruits, traditional dishes like beef bourguignon, or pink lamb chops. As for cheeses, it ideally accompanies an Époisses, a Brie, a Camembert or an aged Comté.

The estate
Created in the late 2000s, the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate illustrates the expertise of the Burgundy region. Today led by Francine Picard, this property extends over a 35-hectare vineyard focused on prestigious terroirs. Cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics, the estate stands out for its meticulous plot-by-plot approach and deep respect for the environment. The Picard family's objective is to produce wines of great precision, faithfully reflecting the identity of each climat.
The vineyard
The "Concis des Champs" plot extends over an area of 0.50 hectare within the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation. Located at an altitude varying between 220 and 325 metres, the vines, planted between 1970 and 2010, benefit from an ideal exposure facing east to south-east. The terroir is characterised by deep soils of silt and brown clay, resting on a subsoil rich in cherts and iron nodules, giving the wine a beautiful mineral energy.
The vintage
The 2024 year offered climatic conditions that were overall favourable to the development of the vine. This vegetative cycle allowed optimal ripeness to be reached, giving birth to concentrated and balanced grapes, the hallmark of beautiful aromatic freshness, a deep colour and silky tannins.
