An elegant and delicious Premier Cru Champagne by EPC

The Estate

EPC Champagne was founded in June 2019 by Édouard Roy, Jérôme Queige, and Camille Jullien Gilardi, establishing itself as the first Champagne start-up. Based in Vindey in the Marne department, the House works with cooperatives and winegrowers from various Champagne terroirs. Under the leadership of its three founders, supported by renowned investors such as Xavier Niel and Didier Deschamps, EPC is revolutionizing the industry through total transparency.

The Vineyard

This Premier Cru draws its character from the prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Vallée de la Marne. The vines thrive on Upper Cretaceous chalk soils, which impart characteristic minerality and freshness. Produced by a collective of winegrowers in Avize, this cuvée reflects the richness and diversity of the Champagne terroirs classified as Premier Cru.

The Cuvée

This Brut Premier Cru is a non-vintage blend, composed of 40% from the 2015 vintage and 60% reserve wines. This composition allows for a consistent and complex cuvée, where the freshness of the youngest vintage blends harmoniously with the depth of reserve wines aged in foudres. The dosage is 6 g/L.

Winemaking and Aging

The vinification of the Brut Premier Cru takes place in stainless steel tanks with malolactic fermentation. A portion of the reserve wines is aged in foudres, adding an extra dimension to the final blend. The Champagne benefits from aging on lees for at least 75 months, allowing for the development of characteristic brioche aromas and beautiful aromatic complexity.

Grape Varieties
Chardonnay (66%) and Pinot Noir (34%).
