Characteristics and tasting recommendations for the Fantastique 2025 cuvée from Château Sainte Marguerite

Tasting

Appearance
Brilliant pearlescent pink hue.

Nose
The nose stands out for its balance between rich aromas of white peach, pear, lychee, passion fruit, and grapefruit zest.

Palate
Freshness, citrus and floral notes (rose, jasmine) blend harmoniously on the palate through to a long, persistent finish.

Serving and cellaring

Best enjoyed between 8 and 10°C. This rosé wine can be cellared until around 2030–2031.

Food and wine pairings

Poultry with morel mushrooms, grilled red meats, Asian cuisine, or a spiced tuna tataki make refined pairings with this cuvée.

A rosé wine from Côtes de Provence combining delicacy and aromatic richness

The estate

Founded in 1929 by André Chevillon on the foundations of a vineyard cultivated since Antiquity, the Château Sainte-Marguerite extends across the terroir of La Londe-Les-Maures, a coastal village in the Var. In 1955, it was awarded the Cru Classé de Provence designation, highlighting the authenticity, diversity, and quality of its wines. In 1977, Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard acquired the estate, which at the time covered 11 hectares. Since 2022, the Fayard family has partnered with Pernod Ricard to continue developing Sainte Marguerite in Provence and internationally.

The vineyard

This Fantastique 2025 is a Côtes de Provence wine from the vineyards of La Londe, grown on clay-siliceous soils structured with pebbles and fractured quartz.

Winemaking and aging

Cold skin maceration before pressing. Temperature-controlled vinification. Aging in tanks on fine lees. Fining and filtration before bottling.

Blend

This Château Sainte Marguerite Fantastique 2025 is a blend of grenache, cinsault, and rolle.
