The expression and finesse of a red wine from Vallée du Rhône
The estate
The Delas Frères House, founded in 1835, embodies with panache the rich wine heritage of the Vallée du Rhône. Located in the heart of Tain L'Hermitage, it has built its reputation by highlighting the exceptional terroirs of this region. Over the generations, it has distinguished itself by its ability to create wines that faithfully reflect the richness and diversity of the Rhône soils.
The vineyard
A parcel selection, this Landonne comes from an eponymous parcel planted on the steep slopes of the right bank of the Rhône. Born in 1997, this Côte-Rôtie wine is produced exclusively during great years.
Vinification and aging
The vinification of La Landonne is based on traditional methods, passed down from generation to generation. After a selective manual harvest, the grapes are vinified in open vats, allowing a gentle extraction of tannins and aromas. Fermentation at controlled temperature. Vinification accompanied by daily punching down and pumping over for approximately 10 days. Vatting of about twenty days. Following racking and pressing begins the malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, as well as the aging of 14 to 16 months.
Blend
100% syrah.
