Characteristics and Tasting Tips for Le Péché Originel 2024 by Raymond Usseglio & Fils
Tasting notes
Colour
The glass reveals an intense ruby colour, highlighted by violet reflections and a lovely brilliance.
Nose
The bouquet is generous and expressive, dominated by fresh, juicy red and black fruit aromas. It is enriched by floral notes reminiscent of rose, Mediterranean herbs and citrus zest.
Palate
The texture is light, supple and perfectly balanced, supported by elegant tannins. The aromatic palette is complex, offering flavours of plum, stone fruit, black tea, milk chocolate, liquorice and orange zest.
Food and wine pairings
This wine pairs ideally with grilled red or pink-cooked meats, such as lamb and beef, as well as roast poultry. It is also a wonderful match for vegetarian dishes with Mediterranean accents, fine charcuterie, hard cheeses and even lightly sweetened red fruit desserts.
Serving and cellaring
Le Péché Originel 2024 is best served at a temperature of around 15 to 16°C. As this wine is unfiltered, a natural sediment may form in the bottle.
