The elegance and singularity of a white Burgundy wine from Jean Chartron
The estate
Founded in 1859, Domaine Jean Chartron is one of the historic estates of Puligny-Montrachet, at the heart of Burgundy. Spanning 14.5 hectares of vineyards, the estate has preserved an exceptional expertise through the ages. Today, the fifth generation, embodied by Jean-Michel Chartron and his sister Anne-Laure, runs the estate. Combining respect for tradition with a contemporary approach, Jean Chartron stands out for its constant pursuit of quality and its commitment to the authentic expression of its prestigious terroirs.
The vineyard
The plots dedicated to this cuvée thrive on the renowned terroirs of Burgundy. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils typical of the region, offering excellent drainage and giving the grapes a distinctive minerality along with a lovely freshness.
The vintage
The year 2024 was marked by unpredictable weather. Despite these climatic challenges, rigorous selection and careful monitoring during the harvest allowed for the picking of Chardonnay grapes at optimal ripeness.
Winemaking and aging
The winemaking of the Bourgogne Chardonnay "Cuvée Eugénie Dupard" 2024 receives particular attention to preserve the purity of the fruit. The aging process is carried out with precision to bring complexity without masking the identity of the Burgundian terroir.
