Oak influence quite pronounced at this stage, baking spices, anise and clove; linear attack, juicy development, fruity finish; a poppy, spicy wine.

A little deeper in colour than the past few vintages, with golden rather than green hints, gentle lemongrass and rosemary notes set against lemon curd and sharper citrus; a touch of bitterness on the finish brings focus. First vintage under this name, second vintage with Eric Boissenot as consultant.

A fresh, clean white with some sliced lemon, green apple and crushed sea salt. Medium body. Vibrant finish. Drink now.

The 2020 Le Comte de Malartic Blanc zips out with energetic scents of fresh lemons, crushed rocks, and pineapple, plus hints of dill seed and brine. Medium-bodied, the palate is lively and savory with a soft-spoken finish.
