Description

Tasting tips for Sainte-Victoire 2024 from Miraval

Tasting

Color
This wine displays a pale, clear and bright color that enchants with its crystalline elegance.

Nose
The nose opens with finesse on delicate aromas of white peach and melon. Upon aeration, it gains complexity, revealing nuances of lychee and cherry blossom.

Palate
The palate delights with its richness and freshness. Ample and fleshy, it unfolds indulgent flavors of apricot, lychee and ripe peach, supported by a long, saline and persistent finish that extends the tasting pleasantly.

Food and wine pairings
This elegant rosé will pair brilliantly with refined Mediterranean cuisine: sea bream carpaccio, ceviche, grilled vegetables, or even a langoustine salad with citrus.

Serving and aging
Serve chilled, between 8 and 10°C, to express its full vivacity. It will be best enjoyed within two years of harvest, i.e., until around 2026.

A Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire rosé with floral elegance and a saline finish

The estate
Inheriting a rich and artistic past, the Château Miraval, located in Correns in the Var, is an emblematic site. Former home to historical figures and artists, it welcomed pianist Jacques Loussier in 1970, who set up a legendary recording studio there. In 2008, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt acquired the property, undertaking a profound transformation. The estate now stands as an essential reference in the world of great Provence rosés.

The vineyard
Château Miraval is situated in the heart of Provence on an exceptional terroir in Correns, recognized as the first organic village in France. The parcels dedicated to the Sainte-Victoire cuvée stretch over clay-limestone slopes on two faces: to the south, the Sainte-Victoire massif; to the north/northwest, the Monts Auréliens, overlooking the Haute Vallée de l’Arc. This terroir imparts superb minerality and unique freshness to the wine.

Vinification and aging
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve their freshness. Vinification is carried out under temperature control to maintain aromatic brilliance. Aging is short and controlled, taking place on fine lees to provide structure and roundness to the wine.

Blend
Grenache, cinsault and syrah.
