Tasting
Appearance
Subtle, bright platinum hues reveal long, pronounced legs that speak to a smooth, full texture on the palate.
Nose
A fresh, welcoming bouquet revealing a subtle aroma of citrus blossoms, enriched by notes of roasted agave that lend an authentically Mexican dimension.
Palate
A silky, supple attack revealing perfectly balanced aromas of vanilla and spices, elevated by delicate notes of pear that bring elegant freshness. A clean, warm finish with hazelnut notes is followed by a lively, open aftertaste that reflects aging in new American oak barrels. This tequila reveals a remarkable balance between the freshness of the agave and the complexity brought by maturation.
Food pairings and serving moments
Casa Dragones Joven offers a complex, smooth profile, perfect for sipping neat and pairing with food. This exceptional tequila is best enjoyed without lime, ice, or other additions, at a temperature between 62.6 and 68°F (17–20°C) to fully reveal its subtle aromas.
A revolutionary Mexican tequila by Casa Dragones
Casa Dragones, female-led tequilera excellence
Founded in 2009 by Bertha González Nieves, the first woman certified as a “Maestra Tequilera,” and Robert W. Pittman, co-creator of MTV, Casa Dragones has established itself as a revolutionary Mexican super-premium tequila. Based in the former stables of the Dragones of San Miguel de Allende, the brand handcrafts limited releases from highland Blue Agaves in Jalisco. Under the guidance of its current co-founders, Casa Dragones innovates with aging in Japanese mizunara oak casks while perpetuating the Mexican tradition of pepita engraving on crystal.
Joven, an exceptional blend crafted with artisanal techniques
Casa Dragones Joven results from a unique blend of 100% Blue Agave blanco tequila and extra-añejo tequila, aged in new American oak barrels. Each bottle has a unique character thanks to fully artisanal production in Mexico City, using pure, lead-free crystal. The bottles are hand-engraved using the traditional Mexican “pepita” technique, inherited from 16th-century Spanish craftsmanship. Each bottle is individually labeled, signed, and hand-numbered, attesting to the specific characteristics of each batch. This artisanal approach has earned Casa Dragones Joven international recognition with 96 points from Wine Enthusiast and the title of “Tastemaker’s Top Tequila” awarded by Forbes magazine.
