Characteristics and tasting tips for Joven by Casa Dragones

Tasting

Color
Fine, shimmering platinum hues reveal distinct, long legs, indicating a smooth, full-bodied texture.

Nose
Fresh, inviting bouquet with a subtle scent of citrus blossoms, enriched by notes of roasted agave, lending an authentically Mexican dimension.

Palate
Silky, smooth attack with perfectly balanced aromas of vanilla and spices, enhanced by delicate pear notes that bring elegant freshness. Clean, warm finish with hazelnut notes, followed by a lively, open aftertaste that reveals aging in new American oak barrels. This tequila shows a remarkable balance between the freshness of the agave and the complexity gained from aging.

Food pairings and serving suggestions

A revolutionary Mexican tequila from Casa Dragones

Casa Dragones, Tequila excellence in female hands

Founded in 2009 by Bertha González Nieves, the first certified "Maestra Tequilera", and Robert W. Pittman, co-founder of MTV, Casa Dragones has established itself as a revolutionary Mexican Super-Premium tequila. Housed in the former Dragones stables in San Miguel de Allende, the brand produces limited editions in Jalisco using artisanal methods and highland blue agave. Under the leadership of the current co-founders, Casa Dragones innovates with aging in Japanese Mizunara casks while preserving Mexican tradition.

Joven, an exceptional cuvée with artisanal techniques

Casa Dragones Joven is created from a unique blend of 100% Agave Tequila Blanco and Extra-Añejo, aged in new American oak barrels. Each bottle possesses an individual character thanks to its fully artisanal production in Mexico City, using lead-free pure crystal. The decanters are engraved using the traditional Mexican "Pepita" technique, which originated in 16th-century Spanish craftsmanship. Each bottle is individually labeled, signed, and numbered by hand – a testament to the specific characteristics of each batch. This artisanal approach has earned Casa Dragones Joven international recognition, with 96 points from Wine Enthusiast and the title of "Tastemaker’s Top Tequila" from Forbes Magazine.
