An Exceptional Calvados Pays d'Auge Aged 30 Years, Cask Strength
The Famille Dupont, master of Calvados Pays d'Auge since 1887
Founded in 1887 by Jules Dupont, this Norman family distillery has upheld the art of Calvados Pays d’Auge for four generations. Located in Victot-Pontfol on clay and Oxfordian marl soils, the Famille Dupont cultivates its own orchards and controls the entire process from harvest to distillation. The estate remains in the hands of the Famille Dupont, who favor traditional methods: double distillation in a Charentais alembic still, prolonged aging in oak barrels, and bottling without reduction to preserve the authentic aromatic profile of its exceptional eaux-de-vie.
The Calvados 30 Ans Non Réduit, an exceptional cask strength
This Calvados "30 Ans" Non Réduit embodies the excellence of Maison Dupont. Made from a blend of bittersweet and tart apples harvested from September to November, it undergoes a traditional double distillation. The first distillation yields the “petite eau” at 30 % vol., then the second distillation of this “petite eau” gives birth to the Calvados.
Aged for a minimum of 30 years in toasted oak casks—initially in 1,200-litre vats, then in 400-litre barrels for refinement—the cask strength bottling, without added water or cold filtration, preserves maximum concentration and complexity. This non-interventionist approach delivers a unique aromatic and gustatory intensity, acclaimed by specialist critics.
