A fruity and delicate cognac from Grande and Petite Champagne

House of Hine: two centuries of Charentais excellence

Founded in 1817 by Thomas Hine in Jarnac, France, this cognac house embodies a unique alliance between Charentais know-how and British heritage. Hine sources exclusively from Grande and Petite Champagne, cultivating Ugni Blanc. The house stands out for its double distillation on lees, its aging in fine-grained barrels, and its distinctive Early Landed technique, where some cognacs age in the United Kingdom. The sole royal supplier of cognac since 1962, Hine today belongs to the company EDV SAS, owned by the Nicolas family. Under the direction of Paul Szersnovicz and Éric Forget, the brand perpetuates its bicentennial excellence, favoring finesse, delicacy, and vivacity.

Hine Rare: the unique cognac in a decanter in its category

Hine Rare positions itself as a cognac superior to the VSOP category, distinguishing itself as the only one in its category presented in a decanter. Produced exclusively from grapes coming from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the two most prestigious cognac crus, it benefits from double distillation on fine lees and aging in slightly toasted fine-grained oak barrels. This production method gives Hine Rare its fresh and refined style, characterized by a fruity, soft, and delicate profile. Its presentation in a decanter ensures excellent visibility and underscores its unique positioning. Under the direction of Paul Szersnovicz, Cellar Master, and Éric Forget, Cellar Master, Hine Rare embodies the excellence and know-how of the House of Hine, offering a wide aromatic palette where fruit dominates with elegance.
