A red wine from the Rhône Valley marked by rare freshness and elegance

The estate

An extraordinary winegrower, Xavier Vignon has been regarded as one of the greatest specialists of the southern Rhône Valley for over twenty years. Each cuvée signed by Xavier Vignon accurately reflects his desire to reveal the identity of the great terroirs of the Rhône while possessing a distinctive character of its own: the Xavier Vignon identity. His exclusive creations showcase his full creativity, as illustrated by the Arcane collection, which promises enthusiasts an incredible sensory and taste experience.

The vineyard

Xavier Vignon unveils old vintages of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, revealing all the aromatic potential and richness of this iconic appellation. This 1999 vintage is crafted from a selection of plots resting on soils composed of sand, rolled pebbles on the surface, as well as red clay, sand and limestone at depth.

Winemaking and aging

Vinification in truncated wooden vats and traditional concrete tanks. Aging was carried out exclusively in concrete tanks in order to preserve the freshness and expression of the fruit.

Blend

This vintage is the result of a blend of different grape varieties from the estate's "collection vines", predominantly Grenache.
