Robert Parker

Robert M. Parker, Jr.

This wine has reached full maturity and has taken on a slightly amber edge to its deep ruby color. The big, spicy, ripe nose offers up gobs of mineral scents and superripe black fruit. In the mouth, this fleshy, chewy, full-bodied wine has excellent extract, a velvety texture, and a long, heady, alcoholic finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-2000. Last tasted, 3/90.

Jean-Marc Quarin

Jean-Marc Quarin

Dark red color. Medium to good intensity. Evolved. Nose of medium intensity. Discreet. A hint of dry leaf. With swirling, notes of coffee and cedar. Cooked fruit. Smooth attack, developing on a rich, rounded structure. Slow tannic evolution, once again spicy and radiant. Long fruity finish where the alcohol eventually dries the mouth. A wine that is amiable on one hand and rustic on the other.
