Description
The elegance and aromatic structure of a vintage Blanc de Noirs champagne
The estate
The Champagne Marie-Courtin House, located in the village of Polisot within the Côte des Bar, was founded by Dominique Moreau in 2005. This talented winemaker crafts outstanding champagnes under the estate name, which is none other than that of her grandmother, Marie-Courtin, who was a farmer.
A pioneer driven by passion, Dominique Moreau cultivates her vineyards using organic and biodynamic practices, striving to faithfully express the unique characteristics of these terroirs, which give rise to rare champagnes that combine finesse and liveliness.
The vineyard
"Efflorescence" is produced from a Champagne vineyard of 2.5 hectares farmed biodynamically.
Winemaking and aging
This Extra Brut champagne undergoes fermentation and 12 months of aging in barrels, followed by 36 months on the lees.
Blend
This Efflorescence Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2018 cuvée from Marie-Courtin is made from 100% Pinot Noir.
