The estate

Château des Tourettes is an estate owned by the iconic winemaking couple from the Mâconnais, Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens. It is located on the Apt Plateau, the capital of the Luberon. The couple completely restructured the vineyard to create an ideal terroir for the production of white wines.

The vineyard

Thanks to the vineyard’s restructuring—particularly the replanting of massal selections—Château des Tourettes embodies an estate with a lovely terroir in the Rhône Valley at 400 meters above sea level. The soil is rich in limestone. The grapes come mainly from the Plateau de l’Aigle parcel.

Winemaking and aging

After hand-harvesting, pressing with juice selection is carried out to keep only the first-run juice, preserving beautiful acidity. Aging is done in barrels.
