Nose
The nose reveals a complex and intense aromatic expression, with notes of fresh black berries, wild blackberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by hints of garrigue.

The palate is generous and well balanced, supported by a fine structure and supple tannins. Delicious aromas of crushed strawberry, lifted by a subtle touch of vanilla, carry through to a long finish.
Food and Wine Pairings
This wine pairs ideally with duck breast with figs, slow-cooked dishes such as osso buco alla milanese, or full-flavoured cheeses such as Saint-Nectaire.
Serving and Cellaring

The Estate
The Famille Perrin traces its roots to Château de Beaucastel, acquired in 1909 by Pierre Tramier in Courthézon, in the Rhône Valley. The Perrin & Fils brand, created in 1997, became Famille Perrin from the 2010 vintage onwards. Now led by the family's fifth generation, the estate farms around 260 hectares of vines spread across seven appellations of the southern Rhône, cultivated organically and biodynamically since the 1950s–1970s.
The Vineyard
Les Christins comes from an 8-hectare leased vineyard in the commune of Sarrians, south of the Dentelles de Montmirail, within the Vacqueyras appellation. The old vines, averaging around 50 years of age, are rooted in stony terraces made up of clay, sand and sandy sandstone (safres), enriched with gravel carried down by the Ouvèze. Grenache and Syrah are co-planted here, an unusual practice that calls for precise management of ripeness.
The Vintage
The 2024 vintage presented climatic challenges throughout the growing cycle, requiring constant vigilance and sustained work in the vineyards. The harvest, which began on 22 August and finished on 3 October, allowed each plot to be picked at perfect ripeness, yielding balanced and expressive grapes.
Winemaking and Ageing
The hand harvest for Les Christins 2024 is timed according to the ripeness of the Grenache, with the Syrah picked very ripe to bring power and spice. After sorting, crushing and tank filling, the fairly long fermentation is accompanied by manual punching down, allowing a fine extraction without harshness. Ageing continues in large oak foudres and wooden vats for one year, with limited use of barriques in order to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Grape Varieties
This cuvée relies mainly on Grenache, the flagship variety that brings flesh and generosity, complemented by Syrah, which contributes colour, structure and spicy notes.
