A lively Rhône Valley white wine with beautiful freshness
The estate
La Famille Perrin, committed to artisanal viticulture that respects the terroir and the environment, has become a benchmark among the great wines of the Rhône Valley. A pioneer of organic farming as early as 1950 and biodynamics in 1974, the family produces high-quality wines recognized internationally for their refinement.
The vineyard
Les Christins Blanc by Famille Perrin is a Vacqueyras wine from an 8-hectare vineyard, managed by the Château de Beaucastel team. The soil consists of ancient Mindel alluvium over subsoils of sand and yellow Helvetian sandstone.
The vintage
Despite climatic challenges, the 2024 vintage looks promising thanks to meticulous work in the vines. The harvest, from August 22 to October 3, made it possible to pick grapes at perfect ripeness, both balanced and expressive. Early tastings reveal wines of great quality, combining fruit, tension, finesse, and freshness, with fine structure and optimal phenolic maturity. This vintage stands out for its aromatic richness and aging potential.
Winemaking and aging
A cold skin maceration (50°F/10°C) helps extract fruit and texture. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by 8 months of aging on the lees in stainless steel vats (60%) and wooden demi-muids (40%).
Blend
Bourboulenc, Clairette, Grenache Blanc.
