The minerality and structure of a Burgundy white wine

The estate
Created in 1859 by Jean-Edouard Dupard, the Domaine Jean Chartron expanded following the marriage of Eugénie Dupard to Jean-Edmond Chartron. Located in Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy, this family estate covers 14.5 hectares and produces 23 appellations on the exceptional terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. Under the direction of Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron (5th generation), the estate is recognized for the quality of its wines expressing the purity of Burgundian terroirs.

The vineyard
This Puligny-Montrachet comes from vines planted on clay-limestone soils, a typical composition that gives the wine its characteristic minerality and exceptional cellaring potential.

Vinification and aging
Vinification is carried out entirely in oak barrels, with 30% new barrels and 70% barrels aged 1 to 5 years. The aging takes place on fine lees for 12 months in barrel, followed by 4 months in tank to perfect the wine's balance.

Grape variety
100% Chardonnay.
