An audacious French wine signed Xavier Vignon
The property
Founded by Xavier Vignon, the eponymous estate has established itself in the Rhône Valley thanks to the quality and diversity of its wines. Originally from Picardy, Xavier Vignon started in oenology after a career at Moët & Chandon. Today, he manages 35 hectares of vineyards, exploiting prestigious appellations such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. His innovative approach combines trade and production, with a strong commitment to the environment, illustrated by initiatives such as collaboration with the Sea Foundation. His ability to marry tradition and modernity is his singularity.
The vineyard
This French Wine draws its richness from two complementary terroirs. The viognier comes from plots located more than 300 meters above sea level on limestone scree, bringing finesse and freshness. The vermentino, on the other hand, thrives on clay soils that give it structure and complexity. This diversity of terroirs contributes to the aromatic richness and balance of this orange wine.
Vinification and aging
This cuvée benefits from a vinification inspired by 6000-year-old Georgian ancestral techniques. The grapes macerate for a long time with their skins for about 20 months in glass containers called Wine Globes. This method allows to extract color, aromas and structure while preserving the freshness of the wine. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally, bringing roundness and complexity to the whole.
Blend
Vermentino (50%) and viognier (50%).
