Ironically, the 1991 reveals more depth, ripeness, and fruit than the excessively woody, diluted, light-bodied 1992. If you are contemplating buying either wine, the soft, berry, oaky, medium-bodied 1991 will provide pleasant drinking for 4–5 years.

92: violet-purple. Violet nose; direct, straightforward, dark roasted note, subdued cedar. Fine, very elegant palate flow, nicely balanced. A gastronomic wine, in the style of an ’87. 15/20 1995–2000
