Robert Parker

Robert M. Parker, Jr.

This is a delicious, soft wine with aromas and flavors of mocha, coffee, chocolate, cedar, and jammy red and black fruits. Medium to full-bodied, with low acidity, little density but excellent fruit, and a soft underbelly, it requires consumption over the next 5–6 years. It is ideal for consumers and restaurants seeking immediate drinkability.

Dark, deep garnet. On the nose, a stunning chocolate bouquet with plum notes, seductively sweet, evoking freshly caramelized sugar. On the palate, silky, fine, gently melting, with a mouth‑filling yet perfectly rounded structure; again, plum notes, not over‑concentrated but compelling in its palate aromatics, finishing on rock sugar.

98: Dark, deep garnet. Stunning chocolate bouquet, plums; seductively sweet with aromas of freshly burned caramel. On the palate, silky, fine, delicately melting, with a mouth-filling yet perfectly rounded structure; again plums, not overconcentrated, but striking in its palate aromatics; candied sugar on the finish. 18/20 2002–2012

Sweet, rich, soft, alcoholic bouquet with dried fruits, chocolate, roast juice. Broad, sweet, full, velvety palate with a rich structure and good extract. Medium-bodied, sweet finish. 18/20 drink - 2012

Dark red color. Good intensity. Dark highlights and slight evolution. Brilliant. Nose of medium intensity. Toasted. Grilled. With swirling, slightly iodized. Animal. Soft attack, almost sweet, developing on a structure with candied-fruit flavors. Slow tannic development, smoky and toasted, almost sticky on the palate, opulent. Tannic finish and once again a bit chalky. Lovely persistence.
