A fresh, mineral Galician Albariño from the Rías Baixas appellation by Torres
The Estate
Founded in 1870 by Jaime and Miguel Torres in Vilafranca del Penedès, Catalonia, the winery Torres is one of Spain’s most prestigious family-owned wine houses. Under the leadership of Miguel A. Torres, the company farms around 2,000 hectares of vineyards spread across several Spanish appellations, as well as in Chile and California. As a founding member of Primum Familiae Vini, Torres reinvests a large share of its profits and exports to more than 140 countries—an international standard-bearer of Spanish winemaking excellence.
The Vineyard
Pazo Das Bruxas comes from the Rías Baixas appellation in Galicia, a coastal region in northwestern Spain. This winegrowing area benefits from an Atlantic climate that is particularly well suited to cultivating Albariño, the emblematic grape variety of the appellation. With this cuvée, Torres pays tribute to Galicia’s folklore heritage and nature, a region renowned for exceptional white wines.
Vinification and Aging
Pazo Das Bruxas 2024 is vinified in stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures, preserving the grape variety’s freshness and aromatic purity. The grapes undergo a two-hour skin-contact period to gently extract aromas. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks over 21 days at a temperature between 14 and 17°C, ensuring optimal expression of the variety’s characteristic traits.
