Description
A supple and harmonious Pomerol red wine
With a total vineyard area of 47.5 hectares, the Château de Sales is produced in the Pomerol appellation. The vines have an average age of 30-years-old and are grown in a rich gravel soil with iron oxide. The blend of the 2009 vintage is 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc.
At tasting, the Château de Sales 2009 shows a brilliant, deep ruby colour. There is a rich, complex nose of red fruit and spicy aromas. The palate is fruity, fleshy, supple, harmonious and smooth while offering a magnificent tannic structure. This is a wine to enjoy now.
