Description

A Complex and Refined Barsac from an Exceptional Vintage

A 2nd Classified Growth of Sauternes and Barsac since 1855, Château Suau is one of the most beautiful estates in the Barsac appellation, revealing complex and refined sweet Bordeaux wines, vintage after vintage.

The 2017 vintage was excellent for white wines, and the Château Suau 2017 shines brilliantly, bright and balanced, while paying homage to Sémillon, which makes up 100% of the blend.

Located near the Garonne and its tributary, the Ciron, the Château Suau vineyard enjoyed exceptional botrytisation of the fruit in this new vintage. The noble rot settled late, concentrating the sugars, while maintaining a great aromatic freshness and good acidity.

The Château Suau 2017 displays a superb aromatic expression, showcasing the magnificence of the fruit upon an already complex bouquet, which seduces the nose with delicate floral notes, and rich ripe fruits, including sweet apricot and quince. The frank attack on the palate reveals the generosity of this wine, its rich and unctuous texture, without ever weighing down the palate, kept light by a perfect acidity. The wine offers a freshness and length on the finish. An exceptional vintage for this Second Classified Growth of Barsac.
