A red wine from the Rhône Valley combining power and balance

The estate

An exceptional winemaker, Xavier Vignon has been regarded as one of the greatest specialists of the southern Rhône Valley for over twenty years. Every cuvée signed by Xavier Vignon accurately reflects his ambition to reveal the identity of the great Rhône terroirs, while also possessing a distinctive character of its own: the Xavier Vignon identity. His exclusive creations showcase all his creativity, as illustrated by the Arcane collection, which promises enthusiasts an incredible sensory and gustatory experience.

The vineyard

Xavier Vignon unveils old vintages of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, releasing all the aromatic potential and richness of this iconic appellation. This 1991 vintage is crafted from a selection of parcels resting on soils composed of sand and rolled pebbles on the surface, along with red clay, sand and limestone at depth.

Winemaking and ageing

Complete destemming and partial crushing. Vinification in truncated wooden vats and traditional concrete tanks. Ageing was carried out exclusively in concrete tanks in order to preserve the freshness and expression of the fruit.

Blend

This vintage is the result of a blend of different grape varieties from the estate's "collection vines", predominantly Grenache
