A fresh and expressive non-dosé Champagne
The estate
Established for nearly five centuries in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, the Champagne Philipponnat House is one of the historic names of the Champagne region. Singularity, excellence, generosity, and simplicity are the values that guide this house, whose spirit has remained family-run. Owned by the house since 1935, the legendary Clos des Goisses is one of the oldest and most prestigious clos in Champagne. This jewel is the origin of rare Champagnes endowed with exceptional power.
The vineyard
Réserve Perpétuelle Non-Dosé is crafted from vineyards planted on the premier and grand crus of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, in the heart of the Champagne appellation. These exceptional vineyards benefit from privileged exposures and soils conducive to the expression of this noble grape variety.
This cuvée succeeds the Royale Réserve cuvée.
Winemaking and aging
This cuvée is based on the 2021 harvest, enriched with 56% reserve wines aged in oak barrels. The perpetually renewed blend brings together all successive vintages since 1946, creating unique complexity while preserving freshness.
Vinification in vats and in wood while avoiding any premature oxidation. Partial malolactic fermentation precedes aging in barrels to develop aromatic complexity. This non-dosé Champagne benefits from a minimum of three years of aging.
Grape varieties
The blend is composed of 66% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay, and 2% Pinot Meunier.
