The 2023 Vintage
of Château Lagrange

For forty years, Château Lagrange has meticulously cultivated its vineyard, placing particular emphasis on replanting Cabernet Sauvignon—a noble, emblematic grape whose late ripening is ideally suited to today’s evolving climate. The 2023 vintage exemplifies this philosophy, with the Grand Vin composed of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot. Meanwhile, the Heritage Collection honors the estate’s roots, gracefully blending 54% Cabernet Sauvignon with 46% Merlot. Crafted from grapes at peak maturity, this exceptional cuvée unveils a vibrant and generous structure, enriched with enticing red fruit notes and the characteristic depth of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Thanks to favorable climatic conditions and the expertise of its team, The 2023 harvest stands out for its richness and the meticulous harmony of its blend. Through the Heritage Collection, Château Lagrange offers a sophisticated reinterpretation of its legacy, celebrating four decades of excellence under the guidance of its Japanese owner, in a limited, numbered edition.

An Exceptional Gift Box
by Château Lagrange

Château Lagrange has entrusted the creation of its gift box to the Adam company, whose dedication to CSR, environmental responsibility, and uncompromising quality mirrors the estate’s own values. This box embodies an exemplary eco-design approach, offering a tangible expression of the château’s commitment to sustainability and minimizing its ecological footprint.

Crafted entirely from wood and free of metal components, the box uses radiata pine sourced from the Landes forests, less than 400 km from the estate, and is produced locally in the Médoc. Designed to harmonize heritage with contemporary values, the magnum’s design draws inspiration from historic Bordeaux bottles and incorporates the graphic motifs of the 1983 vintage, the year the estate was acquired. The label features the château alongside two Spanish conquistadors, paying tribute to the Spanish Basque origins of the Cendoya family.
The box’s minimalist, refined aesthetics take cues from Japanese art, reducing design to its essentials. It closes with a wooden stick threaded through three leather straps—a nod to musubi and the wabi-sabi philosophy—where every gesture and opening transforms into a meaningful ritual, celebrating authenticity and understated beauty.
