A delicious and harmonious Mediterranean rosé wine

The estate

Domaine Triennes was founded in the late 1980s by three wine enthusiasts. Two Burgundian winemakers, Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of the emblematic Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, joined forces with a Parisian friend, Michel Macaux, and began the search for Mediterranean terroirs capable of producing great wines that fully express the richness of this wine region. Their search ended in 1989 with an estate called "Le Logis de Nans". In honour of the Triennia, a religious festival celebrated every three years under the Roman Empire, and to echo the adventure inspired by these three partners, the property was renamed "Triennes."

Drawing on their Burgundian experience, the three partners carried out major vineyard renewal and maintenance work (replanting, grafting, massal selections) in order to produce refined wines that reflect the quality of their terroir.

Produced with controlled yields, the wines of Domaine Triennes have a beautiful acidity that exalts a real complexity. In constant search of excellence and respectful of its environment, the Domaine Triennes has been certified Organic Agriculture since 2011.

The vineyard

The 2022 rosé from Domaine Triennes is an IGP Méditerranée wine from the 46-hectare Aurélien vineyard opposite the Massif de la Sainte Baume mountain.  Its microclimate is ideal due to its southern exposure, its altitude of between 350 and 400 metres, but also the cool nights which favour a long growth cycle.

Winemaking and ageing

Harvested exclusively at night in order to preserve their freshness, the grapes were pressed directly and underwent cold skin maceration for a few hours. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in temperature-controlled vats.
