The estate
At the Leccia's, the passion for wine is passed down from generation to generation. Yves Leccia, heir to a long line of winemakers, naturally followed this path. In 2005, with his partner Sandrine, he founded his own estate. Located in the north of Corsica, in the heart of the Patrimonio appellation, the vineyard now extends over 15 hectares, nestled on the magnificent terroirs of E Croce and Partinelone. Each cuvée, a reflection of freshness, minerality, and purity of fruit, testifies to the winemaker's know-how and passion, inviting you to discover the treasures of the Patrimonio appellation.
The vineyard
Coming from vines ideally located on hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, E Croce Blanc benefits from an exceptional terroir, mixing schists and limestones. This natural setting, combined with a Mediterranean climate, offers ideal conditions for the flourishing of native Corsican grape varieties. Respect for the environment guides each step of cultivation, the vineyard being managed according to the principles of organic farming.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are carefully handpicked before being rigorously sorted. After the harvest, the berries are pressed and then the must is clarified at a low temperature (8°C) for 24 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (18°C) over a period of 15 to 20 days, followed by a 6-month aging in the tank, thus preserving all the freshness and expression of the fruit.
Grape variety
100% Vermentino.
