An exceptional Priorat with floral aromas and a silky texture

    The estate
Founded in 1989 by Alvaro Palacios near Gratallops, this 12-hectare estate revolutionized Priorat in Catalonia. A pioneer of this once-forgotten region, Palacios developed prestigious cuvées on black slate soils. As owner-director, he grows Grenache and Cariñena using eco-friendly viticulture on steep terraces. His wines—notably L'Ermita, considered a world-class grand cru—have placed Priorat among Spain's most renowned appellations.

    The vineyard
Finca Dofi spans 12 hectares in the village of Gratallops, at the heart of the D.O.Q. Priorat appellation. The vines are planted on the characteristic llicorella soils (siliceous laminated slate) at an altitude of 250 to 350 meters. These steep terraces benefit from northeast/southwest and east exposures, in a Mediterranean climate with strong maritime influence. Traditional Priorat viticulture is practiced here according to ecological principles, with vines aged 19 to 39 years, grown without irrigation.

    Winemaking and aging
After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in wooden vats. The aging of this Catalonia wine is then carried out in barrels.

    Grape varieties
95% Grenache and 5% Cariñena make up this typical Priorat blend.
