An exceptional Jamaican rum aged 15 years in a tropical climate
Appleton Estate, a living heritage of Jamaican rum
Founded in 1749 in the Nassau Valley at the heart of Jamaica’s Cockpit Country, Appleton stands out as the second-oldest rum distillery in the world still in operation. This outstanding distillery benefits from a unique terroir and know-how passed down for more than two centuries.
15 Years Old Black River Casks, a tribute to the estate’s iconic river
The name of this cuvée pays tribute to the Black River, which rises in the heart of the estate in Jamaica and whose pure, crystal-clear water is used to reduce the rums. This blend of molasses rums distilled in Pot Still and column stills was carefully selected by Joy Spence, the world’s first female Master Blender. The rums were aged for 15 years in American oak barrels under Jamaica’s tropical climate, developing remarkable aromatic complexity. This expression earned 94 points out of 100 from the Beverage Tasting Institute as well as a Gold Medal, attesting to its exceptional quality. The bottle was redesigned especially for this cuvée, highlighting the premium character of this rum.
