The estate
Placed on an exceptional terroir in the heart of the Médoc, Château Brillette takes its name from the gravelly land on which its vineyard rests and which, in good weather, gives the vines a special glow.
The vineyard
Château Brillette is a Moulis wine that comes from a terroir of 45 hectares.

Tasting
Although the Merlot grapes were excellent, soft, fragrant and voluptuous on the palate, it was the Cabernet Sauvignons which, having reached perfect ripeness, set the tone for the blends. The Petit Verdot also brings density, richness and complexity to this Moulis en Médoc appellation wine. Proud representative of the wines of the Médoc, this Château Brillette 2010 is powerful and silky, with great finesse and a lovely aromatic complexity.
Another superb over-achiever from the appellation of Moulis in the Medoc, this wine, a blend of 48% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, shows lots of licorice, barbecue smoke, charcuterie, plum and black currants. It hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied opulence. The tannins are sweet and the acidity adequate to provide definition and vibrancy. This is a beauty. An outstanding effort from proprietors, the Flageul family.
